As of April 3, more than 600 companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) have released their annual reports. Data shows that nearly 70% of SSE-listed companies achieved year-on-year growth in operating revenue. Meanwhile, over 300 companies posted growth in both revenue and profit, accounting for roughly half of all firms that have disclosed their annual reports.
In terms of sectors, these high-performing companies are mainly concentrated in non-ferrous metals, communications and electronics, power equipment and other industries:
In the non-ferrous metals sector, companies including Zijin Mining Group and Western Mining recorded rapid growth in net profit attributable to parent shareholders; in the communications and electronics sector, leading players such as Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII), Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (YOFC) and GigaDevice Semiconductor delivered strong growth; in the power equipment sector, firms including Dongfang Electric and Shanghai Electric achieved significant net profit growth driven by improved industry prosperity.
