Shanghai Securities News, www.cnstock.com (Reporter He Xinyi) — From January to February this year, more than 730 public funds distributed dividends, with total payouts exceeding RMB 36.7 billion. Among these, broad-based ETFs accounted for RMB 16.9 billion in dividends, becoming the main driver of fund market distributions. Several products listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), including Huatai-PB CSI 300 ETF, E Fund CSI 300 ETF, Southern Asset Management CSI 500 ETF, and Southern Asset Management CSI 1000 ETF, each distributed over RMB 1 billion in dividends.
In recent years, the scale of public fund dividends has grown for three consecutive years. In 2025, 70 ETFs listed on the SSE paid dividends totaling RMB 38 billion, up 112% year-on-year. Among the top ten SSE ETFs by dividend amount, 8 were flagship broad-based ETFs, effectively ensuring investors' returns.
Industry experts note that continuous and stable ETF dividend payouts are an important measure to enhance investors' sense of gain and strengthen the attractiveness of the capital market. They also represent a tangible implementation of inclusive finance, helping more retail investors share in the benefits of economic development.
