People's Finance News | Institutional Holdings of Shanghai Stock Exchange ETFs Rise to 65%, 6 Percent Increase Compared with the End of Last Year

People's Finance News, December 11 — As of the end of November 2025, institutional investors (excluding ETF-linked funds) held 65% of the positions in SSE-listed ETFs, representing 6 percent increase compared with the end of last year. Among them, broad-based ETFs have become the "ballast" for long-term capital allocation, with institutions holding over 80% of their market value. Bond ETFs, with their low risk, stable returns, and dual allocation and trading characteristics, precisely meet the allocation needs of medium- to long-term funds such as social security funds and pension funds; currently, institutional holdings account for over 90% of their market value.
