According to recent data, several SSE-listed companies have recorded a notable increase in their MSCI ESG Ratings.

As of December 25, 2024, 343 SSE-listed companies have been included in the MSCI ESG Ratings, accounting for 15% of all SSE-listed companies. 96% of the STAR 50 Index constituents and 95% of the SSE 180 Index constituents are subject to mandatory disclosure.

Regarding the distribution of ratings, 52 SSE-listed companies are rated between A and AAA. Among them, 8 companies have been awarded the AAA rating, including 4 banks (China Construction Bank Corporation, China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., Industrial Bank Co., Ltd., and China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd.) and 2 securities companies (Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd. and Huatai Securities Co., Ltd.).

Regarding changes in ratings, nearly 90% of rated companies have their ratings raised or unchanged. Notably, the rating of Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd. has been up by three levels, while 9 companies, including China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. and Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd., have their ratings raised by two levels.
