Updated Form and Content: 2024 Annual Report Briefings on the SSE STAR Market to Begin Soon
Du Kang, Xinhua Finance
Against the backdrop of deepening reforms in the capital market, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) STAR Market, as a gathering venue for "core technology" enterprises, is going to enter its annual report briefing season in 2025.
In 2024, companies listed on the SSE STAR Market held nearly 2,000 performance briefings and garnered nearly 3 million views on SSE Roadshow Center, showing a distinctive feature of "full coverage, wide industry participation, and viewer friendliness". In 2025, the SSE STAR Market will rally all listed companies to hold annual report briefings with more diverse forms and content.
There are three highlights in the upcoming round of briefings. First is the establishment of the "Trendy Sector Week ". As technological innovation accelerates, emerging and future industries such as commercial aerospace, low-altitude economy, deep-sea technology, bio-manufacturing, and quantum technology have gained widespread popularity. To help investors figure out their influence on the performance and planning of listed companies, seven "Niche Industry Chain Day" events will be held from April 28 to May 9, covering artificial intelligence, robotics, low-altitude economy, semiconductor equipment, smart consumption, innovative drugs, and new energy. Second is the signature show "Sci-tech Innovation in 3 Minutes". The briefings will continue to be supplemented by high-quality short video clips. There will be a pilot "Dialogue" program where corporate chairpersons and other "key minorities" will be invited to talk before the camera about the highlights of annual reports. Investors will be able to use pockets of time to learn about corporate developments, which will also improve the viewer-friendliness, accessibility, and investment appeal of companies listed on the SSE STAR Market. Third is innovation of activity forms. By combining single-company briefings, sci-tech and innovation industry weeks, and group briefings, investors and listed companies are provided with a variety of options. The SSE has sorted out more than 20 niche industry chains and will invite companies along the same industrial chain to hold briefings around the same time on the same platform at the "Niche Industry Chain Day". In this way, investors will be able to compare and grasp the corporate developments and industry priorities to facilitate their investment experience.
