SSE and SEHK Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
On July 17, 2026, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to facilitate information exchange and cross-border collaboration.
Since the roll-out of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, the SSE and the SEHK have continued to fine-tune a range of institutional arrangements in response to market developments, pushing forward the stable and sound growth of both markets. The newly signed memorandum is expected to further partnerships in information exchanges, encourage the voluntary reporting of relevant information by SEHK participants, and step up ongoing efforts to deepen and bolster the Stock Connect mechanism.
Going forward, under the overarching guidance of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), the SSE will continue to build up cross-border cooperation, boost the efficiency of the Stock Connect mechanism, and remain committed to advancing the high-level institutional opening-up of China's capital markets.
