SSE London Office Officially Opened

On June 17, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) releases the “Joint Communique” for Shanghai-London Stock Connect, which approves in principle that the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the LSE implements the Shanghai-London Stock Connect. Meanwhile, the SSE London Office is officially opened.

The SSE London Office, established upon approval by the CSRC, is another important overseas agency for the internationalization strategy of the SSE. Its main duties are as follows: involving in and supporting the cross-border business of the SSE including the Shanghai-London Stock Connect according to the internationalization strategy of the SSE; strengthening contacts between the SSE and overseas markets, making promotions in the international market, attracting international institutional investors to invest in the Chinese capital market, and expanding the global influence of the Chinese capital market; studying trends in overseas markets and providing decision-making supports for the internationalization strategy of the SSE.
