Announcement on Changing the Calculation Rule of Trading metrics (value and volume) of SSE Science and Technology Innovation Board 50 Index

The SSE Science and Technology Innovation Board 50 Index (“STAR 50”) was officially launched on July 23, 2020. As the first benchmark index designed to track the performance of the SSE Science and Technology Innovation Board (“STAR market”), its trading metrics (value and volume) are calculated as the aggregated turnover of all securities listed on the STAR Market, providing investors with a comprehensive view of market dynamics. In January 2025, following the launch of the SSE Science and Technology Innovation Board Composite Index, the new index has effectively superseded the STAR 50's original function of tracking the overall STAR market turnover.

To accurately reflect the index's true transactions, Shanghai Stock Exchange and CSI will revise the calculation of STAR 50’s trading metrics (value and volume) to the trading metrics (value and volume) of the index constituents. This revising will take effect on April 21, 2025. Concurrent revisions will be made to the index’s historical closing trading metrics (value and volume).
