The Methodology of SSE Dividend Index To Be Amended
In order to improve index representativeness and investability, SSE and CSI decide to amend the index methodology of SSE Dividend Index.
The details are as following:(1) The dividend threshold of the stock universe is revised to paying cash dividend in each 3 years and the mean of payout ratio in last 3 years and payout ratio in last 1 year are both between 0 and 1, for current constituents the above requirement of payout ratio in last 1 year is not necessary; (2) The constituents selection method is modified to select the top 50 securities with highest dividend yield in the last 3 years as constituents; (3) The weight of each constituent is capped at 10%, and the weight of each constituent with market value of less than 10 billion yuan is capped at 1%. The rest part of index methodology remains unchanged.
The amended index methodology of SSE Dividend Index will be implemented on April 13, 2022. Regarding the amended methodology, please refer to the official website of SSE(www.sse.com.cn) and CSI (www.csindex.com.cn).
