The Listing of REITs Marks Five-Year Anniversary, with 86 REITs Listed Raising RMB 245 Billion

June 21 marks the fifth anniversary of the listing of REITs. To date, a total of 86 REITs have been listed market-wide, raising a combined RMB 245 billion, and 59 REITs on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) have raised RMB 176 billion. With the official launch of the first batch of commercial real estate REITs, a diversified asset landscape has taken shape, covering expressways, industrial parks, energy, rental housing, and commercial real estate.

On the expansion front, as of June 2026, 14 projects on the SSE have entered the substantive expansion phase, with 8 having completed listing and 5 having issued expansion announcements. The expansion assets feature cross-type and cross-regional innovation, such as "solar + hydro" multi-energy complementarity and "R&D office + factory" mixed configurations, and the first placement offering project has been completed.
