Attracting Medium- and Long-Term Overseas Capital to China's Capital Markets: SSE Hosts "International Investors' On-Site Survey of Listed Companies" Event
To attract more medium- and long-term overseas capital into China's capital markets, deepen international investors' understanding of the investment value of SSE-listed companies, and advance the high-level opening-up of China's capital market, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) recently organized another "International Investors' On-Site Survey of Listed Companies" event.
Held shortly after SSE-listed companies disclosed their 2026 semi-annual reports, the event focused on companies' first-half operating performance and longer-term development strategies. Representatives from nearly 20 international asset managers from the UK, France, Singapore, and other countries were invited to visit the SSE-listed tech innovation companies, gaining a first-hand look at the solid fundamentals and diverse growth drivers underpinning their businesses.
During the event, the delegation toured Shanghai and Hangzhou, among other destinations, gaining in-depth insights into nine SSE-listed companies through site visits and discussions with their management. The strong participation of a number of leading international investment institutions pointed to the recognition among overseas medium- and long-term funds of the operating performance and innovation potential of high-quality Chinese listed companies.
Looking ahead, under the overarching guidance of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the SSE will continue to advance the high-level opening-up of China's capital markets and support sci-tech innovation and the development of new quality productive forces. By building more efficient platforms for cross-border communication and engagement, the SSE will better meet international investors' demand for on-the-ground research into Chinese assets, attract more medium- and long-term overseas capital into China's capital markets, and enable global investors to share in the opportunities arising from China's sci-tech innovation and the high-quality development of its capital markets.
