The 7th Global Information Vendor Conference Successfully Held in Hong Kong, China
Recently, the 7th Global Information Vendor Conference was successfully held in Hong Kong, China. Hosted by China Investment Information Services Ltd. (CIIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), the conference focused on strengthening cross-border connectivity in financial information and advancing greater openness and cooperation in global capital markets. More than 200 representatives from over 100 institutions, including domestic and overseas exchanges, information service providers, and asset management companies, gathered in Hong Kong to explore new opportunities for development. Relevant officials from the SSE attended the conference and delivered remarks.
At the conference, the SSE introduced measures to accelerate the development of a world-class exchange, such as continuing to strengthen the SSE Main Board and STAR Market, vigorously propelling the development of index-based investment, steadily advancing the derivatives market, further optimizing connectivity mechanisms, and better serving high-level opening-up. The SSE added that it will leverage CIIS to broaden its international information and data services, providing greater convenience for global investors to participate in China's capital markets.
During the keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, representatives from domestic and overseas exchanges, index providers, information vendors, and asset managers shared their insights on investment opportunities in the Chinese market, index-based investment, the global use of market data, and cross-border cooperation, among other topics.
Since its launch in 2010, the Global Information Vendor Conference has become an important industry platform where overseas institutions gain insight into China's capital markets and pursue collaboration in information services. As an important gateway for the SSE to support the internationalization of China's capital markets, CIIS has, relying on the SSE's infrastructure and market-service capabilities, built a one-stop data service system in Hong Kong, China, covering multiple markets and product categories. It has also established extensive, in-depth cooperative relationships with exchanges and information vendors in China and overseas.
Going forward, the SSE will continue to support the high-level opening-up of China's capital markets, fully leverage its role as market infrastructure, and build up its cross-border service capabilities. It will also make full use of the platform of CIIS to deepen practical cooperation with global partners, bringing in high-quality overseas market data while facilitating the international flow of Chinese market data and services. These efforts aim to further strengthen cross-border connectivity in financial information and make it easier for global investors to allocate capital to Chinese assets.
