Latest data shows that just last week, net inflows into broad-based ETFs and dividend strategy ETFs on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) exceeded RMB 16.5 billion, with broad-based ETFs attracting RMB 12.2 billion and dividend strategy ETFs RMB 4.39 billion. Index-linked products such as the CSI Dividend Low Volatility, CSI 300, SSE 50, and STAR 50 have become the core allocation targets for investors.
Dividend ETFs, characterized by low risk and stable returns, have become an important tool for household wealth management and medium- to long-term capital allocation. Since the beginning of 2026, as of March 20, the scale of dividend strategy ETFs on SSE has grown by over 6.4%. As of March 20, there are 49 dividend ETF products listed on SSE, with total assets exceeding RMB 170 billion. These products cover multiple categories, including dividend, dividend low volatility, and dividend value ETFs, reflecting a gradually more complete product ecosystem.
Industry experts noted that the recent sustained inflows into broad-based and dividend ETFs indicate a significant rise in investors' willingness to allocate to these instruments. With the combination of stable returns and strong defensive characteristics, broad-based and dividend ETFs hold high allocation value in the current low-interest-rate market environment, making them a preferred choice for many investors.
