SSE Hosts "Two Sessions" Themed International Roadshow

To further deepen the opening-up of China's capital market and facilitate international investors' understanding of China's latest economic policies and capital market developments, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) held the first online roadshow of this year's "Attracting Medium- and Long-Term Capital" series on March 16. The event focused on China's annual "Two Sessions" and aimed to strengthen communication with international investors while sharing the latest outlook on the macroeconomy and capital markets. Targeting medium- and long-term foreign investors, nearly 40 representative foreign institutions—including asset management firms, custodians, and securities companies from Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East—participated in the event.

Amid the recent complex and volatile international situation, China's economic resilience has become increasingly evident, while the attractiveness and safety of China assets continue to rise. Against this backdrop, the SSE held a "Two Sessions" themed international roadshow to promptly convey the positive signals from the national "Two Sessions" to international investors, showcase the favorable performance of China's macroeconomy and investment opportunities in the capital market, and help further attract more medium- and long-term foreign capital into the market.

During the event, the SSE provided a comprehensive overview of market development achievements in 2025 and key priorities for 2026. It stated that efforts will continue to focus on five major areas: enhancing the quality and investment value of listed companies, improving market inclusiveness and adaptability, accelerating system-building on the investment side, steadily advancing high-level two-way opening-up, and maintaining strict regulatory compliance under the law. These measures aim to further promote the value growth and governance improvement of listed companies, support the development of new quality productive forces, attract medium- and long-term capital into the market, and allow investors to share in the high-quality development outcomes of the capital market.

The event also featured a macroeconomic policy analysis and market outlook segment which highlighted the solid fundamentals of China's macroeconomy and the key policy priorities emerging from the "Two Sessions", demonstrating the value of Chinese assets in the current global market. At present, macro policies are proactive and pragmatic, with a strong emphasis on high-quality development, while fiscal and monetary policies will work in coordination to support the economy. Driven by China's robust supply advantages and an improvement in market risk appetite, the Chinese capital market offers significant investment opportunities.

Looking ahead, under the guidance of China Securities Regulatory Commission, the SSE will resolutely advance high-level opening-up, aiming to build a first-class, market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment. With a focus on enhancing the convenience of cross-border investment and financing, the SSE plans to conduct more thematic and diversified roadshow activities for international investors, continue to promote the story of China's capital market, communicate the investment value of domestic markets, and help foster a more transparent, stable, and predictable market environment.
