Embarking on High-Quality Development: "ESG Quality Enhancement" Theme Week Opens for SSE Main Board Companies

On May 8, 2025, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Main Board Company Performance Briefing "ESG Quality Enhancement" Theme Week officially opened. This year's Report on the Work of the Government emphasized the need to "accelerate the development of a green and low-carbon economy." The ESG concept promotes "green and sustainable development," which closely aligns with the current demands of social and economic development. In recent years, companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) have actively embraced the ESG concept, consistently enhancing their medium- and long-term sustainable development capabilities, and injecting fresh momentum into high-quality economic growth.

Over the next month, several companies listed on the main board of the SSE, including COSCO Shipping Holdings Co., Ltd., Hengli Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited, Yankuang Energy Group Company Limited, and Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd., will successively hold performance briefings to tell investors how they are implementing the ESG concept to enhance operating quality and boost investor returns. As part of this theme week, special events titled "Low-carbon New Energy" and "High Dividends, High Returns" will be held. Representative companies will jointly convene performance briefings to showcase their strengths. During these briefings, key representatives such as the chairman, general manager, chief financial officer, board secretary, and independent directors of each company will assist investors in gaining a more comprehensive understanding of business performance, strategic development, industry trends, and the shared joy of growth. Following the opening of the "ESG Quality Enhancement" Theme Week, the "Consumption Renewal" Theme Week is set to commence in a month. This year's SSE performance briefings will continue to offer investors broader insights and more engaging highlights. Investors are invited to continue to pay attention and actively participate!
